“Natural” and “organic” are often used together, but they do not mean the same thing. Organic is meaningful only when tied to a recognized certification and scope.

Natural is broad

Natural can describe material origin or marketing positioning without establishing a specific certification.

Organic should be specific

Look for named standards such as GOTS for relevant textiles and GOLS for organic latex.

Certification scope matters

Verify whether the claim applies to a component or finished product.

Comfort is separate

Neither word tells you whether the mattress will be soft, firm, bouncy or motion-isolating.
